An independent Government department is seeking a prosecutions lawyer to advice and conduct cases related to the body's enforcement and prosecution role. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- conducting case reviews and managing a caseload of litigation
- conducting and managing appeal cases, civil enforcement appeals and judicial reviews
- Ensuring a chain of evidence to civil or criminal standard is maintained, as appropriate
- Ensuring legal quality assurance of cases, including drafting key documents
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of preparing and running criminal prosecutions and understand the main features of public law.
