An exciting opportunity for a PR Executive to join the team of this Bristol based law firm on an interim basis.

A Bristol based law firm seeking to engage a PR Executive on an interim basis.

Description

The PR Executive will:

  • Work with the team to identify and deliver a consistent and organised cycle of PR and marketing content for Thrings in the South West

  • Possess excellent written, verbal, pitching and presenting skills, with experience in talking confidently to - and building strong relationships with the local and regional business media, the legal press, key stakeholders and relevant trade associations;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Managing Partner and lawyers to elicit news stories and generate print, online and broadcast editorial opportunities;

  • Be able to speak and write engagingly and clearly around complex subject matters;

  • Research, prepare and issue press releases, features and thought leadership articles and manage the approvals and compliance process for all communications materials;

  • Work with marketing and other colleagues to deliver relevant and regular internal communications to staff via the firm's intranet, as well as to review, refresh and update content;

  • Monitor news and topical issues to secure commentary/interview opportunities for key staff;

Profile

The successful candidate for the role of PR Executive will possess:

  • PR/marketing experience (agency or in-house), ideally gained in B2B and/or professional services environment;

  • Excellent copywriting, pitching and presenting skills;

  • A demonstrable track record of generating news coverage, with experience of building and maintaining relationships with journalists and bloggers;

  • Understanding, interest and proven track record in digital media;

  • Experience of writing and delivering PR / communication strategies and plans;

  • The ability to manage internal relationships effectively and confidently, including those with senior staff;

  • Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload competently with minimal supervision;

  • Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work activities and work arrangements with internal and external clients; and Addresses problems and seeks pragmatic solutions
