What will I be doing?
You will be working as a solicitor with this law firm’s growing corporate team. As such, you will support colleagues by carrying out non-contentious commercial and corporate work. The right candidate will also be expected to take a proactive role in regards to business development, with your day-to-day activities consisting of:
- Assisting with corporate transactions, including providing advice on purchase transactions and share sales
- Managing your caseload alongside a relevant supervisor/partner
- Advising on commercial contract matters
- Drafting corporate transaction documents
- Producing commercial contracts, as well as comprehensive terms and conditions
Am I the right fit?
To be successful within this Exeter-based legal role, you will already have three years’ PQE, built up within a commercial or corporate solicitor position. You should already have developed an understanding of commercial and corporate law, as well as best practice within this field.
The right candidate will also be articulate and well organised, with a commitment to meeting deadlines through proactive actions. Delivering accurate work and dealing well with pressure, you will be able to operate independently as well as within a team. It is also essential that you pay high attention to details, while ideally having a valid driving license.
