Associate Solicitor Construction - In-House

An award winning international consultancy seeks to recruit a Solicitor c 5 PQE+ with a non contentious construction background to join an established in house legal team.

THE ROLE

As a key member of a well established in house legal function, the successful candidate will be expected to handle a varied workload delivering both legal and strategic advice to the global business.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the business leaders in order to ensure contract terms comply with company policy, obtaining internal approval when necessary

Key areas of work will include : -

Responsibility for the drafting of construction contracts; consultancy agreements, collateral warranties, contract amendments, standard form contracts, including NEC, JCT and RIBA agreements.

There may be some contentious work involving the management of insurance claims and liaison with PI insurers

The postholder will be expected to supervise junior team members and provide In house training to the business on contract terms and risk management
