Rare opening at this popular City firm for an experienced payments lawyer to join this highly regarded team who advise on both the supplier and customer side. The department advises on a range of issues facing banks and non-banks relating to: - Bank Ring-fencing - Payment Systems - Payment Accounts Directive, Regulation - Settlement and Clearing systems and their infrastructure - ATM Networks and Services - Correspondent and Agency Banking - Cash Pooling structures and Netting Opinions - Current Accounts and other Banking Products - E-Channels - Mobile Payments. Clients include all of the major clearing banks, retail challenger banks, building societies, the UK's payment scheme companies, credit, debit and pre-paid card issuers, two card schemes, cash processors, cash in transit operators and IT service providers that support payments infrastructure. Relevant experience including fintech projects for banks would be advantageous whether it be in private practice or in-house.
