A new Residential Property Solicitor vacancy has become available at a well-established law firm, based in Manchester’s city centre. The office’s location offers excellent public transport links to all North-West locations.

There are over 150 people working within the company, and it is now looking to expand its Residential Property department. The firm, which has been nominated for a number of awards and is on the Top Tier Legal 500, is therefore able to offer great progression routes to the right candidate.

This team of residential property solicitors has expertise in a number of specialist areas of law, including buying a newbuild property, purchasing and selling property, re-mortgages, right to buy from local authorities, and tenancy agreements.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with other experienced residential property solicitors to meet client expectations
  • Perform fee-earning work accurately, reliably, and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk-management procedures
  • You will be responsible for handling a busy caseload of freehold and leasehold residential property transactions, which include sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and lease extensions
  • Business development to help grow the department
  • Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers, and endeavour to promote the firm in your professional and personal life

Ideal fit:

  • You will be a qualified residential property solicitor with upwards of two years’ PQE
  • Mature, with the self-confidence and personality to work closely and effectively at all levels
  • A strong communicator with excellent relationship skills
  • The ability to deliver results
  • Have the personality and skills to work closely with the senior management and work colleagues
  • Possess a background in residential property in all sectors, including right to buy from local authorities, purchasing newbuild property, and re-mortgages
  • Be used to working within an established law firm or be self-employed, having come from a private practice with diverse property experience
  • Have a proven track record in relation to business development capabilities
