Legal Counsel

Our client, a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index, is a leading technology and engineering e-commerce business. Their revenue is well in excess of £1bn, its serves more than one million customers, and it has operations in over 30 countries globally. It is an acquisitive and expansive business which is constantly evolving and developing, providing opportunities for further growth and personal development. They are looking for a Legal Counsel to be based in their King's Cross office.

Following a period of growth and a recent internal promotion, and with future succession planning in mind, our client seeks to recruit a Commercial Solicitor to work as in-house Legal Counsel. The post-holder will work as part of our clients small and dynamic legal team to ensure that the Group is properly protected.

Based in London, the position of In-house Legal Counsel will see you support our clients growth plans and corporate strategy across all its territories and jurisdictions, advising on a wide range of issues in a fast-paced multi-national environment. The team operates a collegiate and flat structure within a very dynamic and evolving business, and so opportunities to undertake varied, commercial and strategically important work is the norm.

To be considered for this role, it is envisaged that you will have between 3 and 6 years' PQE of corporate and commercial legal issues, ideally gained whilst operating as an in-house lawyer. You should have strong commercial experience of drafting and negotiating complex cross-border commercial agreements, and have experience managing multi-national and cross-border transactions. Experience of data protection, competition law and M&A matters, particularly in a listed company environment, is desirable.
