This is a fantastic and rare opportunity for an Employment solicitor to work in house.

Description
Although this role will be required to support all legal areas of the business as needed, it is expected that this role will have specialised knowledge and core focus in the area of employment law. You will also manage the outsourcing of personal injury work.
- Promote, support and implement the Legal Department's mission, initiatives and goals/objectives.
- Protect/represent the business interests and support maintaining its operations within the scope established by law.
- Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the business, its clients, and sector and synthesise the information to incorporate it into the business' practices.
- Advise the business on relevant laws, risks and legal areas.
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of legal documents.
- Understand the business, including its financial models and services.
- Structure commercial transactions to be most advantageous from a legal and business perspective.
- Support acquisitions as required.
- Support the development of risk mitigation strategies for operations, commercial documents and acquisitions.
- Counsel, advise, and consult company stakeholders based on accurate interpretation of the law, commercial documents and the facts of a business opportunity or risk.
- Support the development of internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on various legal and business issues.

- Support, promote and implement initiatives in partnership with various departments such as operations, acquisitions, client services, client relations, health and safety, facilities and marketing.
- Support the management of legal systems and processes including databases and legal drives.
Profile
You will be an Employment lawyer, with good transferable skills. Whilst this role will specialise in Employment matters, you will also have the opportunity to work in other areas of law in a busy in house legal team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts to non-legal audience.
- Ability to give commercially practical legal advice that balances and protects the actual risks to the business.
- Fully qualified solicitor (2 PQE and above).
- A minimum of two years' experience of practising employment law post qualification
- Post-qualification experience of working in-house a plus, but is not essential
- A strong knowledge and understanding of employment and good personal injury law knowledge, as well as basic understanding of the principals relating to contracts, data protection, and litigation.
