Our client is a national firm with an specilisation in all areas of person al injury, both claimant and defendant and fraud

The London Fraud Team is a mixture of complex litigated fraud cases and pre litigation fraud. The team work for several different clients who all demand detailed, quality work to be delivered in a fast and efficient manner.

The basic purpose of the role is:

To deal with a case load of files assisting other Fee Earners as and when required, to ensure that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a business like and competent manner and to ensure the efficient operation of the firm.

The main duties of the role include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • To deal competently with delegated files and comply with SLA's.
  • To comply with all litigation dates, court directions and Civil Procedure Rules.
  • To maximise profit by considering appropriate applications.
  • To achieve economically beneficial settlements in appropriate cases.
  • Entering into telephone negotiations, liaising with third party solicitors and insurers, own insurer clients and lay clients'; drafting documents/applications/offers/orders/directions.
  • Attending telephone conferences/applications.
  • Managing time effectively with organisational skills and use of case management system.
  • Seeing cases through to conclusion whilst dealing in a cost effective matter.
  • In addition the employee is required to perform other responsibilities assigned by the Partnership as requested.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Litigation experience (essential).
  • Recent and proven file handling experience (essential).
  • Experience of communicating and working with Insurer clients (essential).
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Desire to progress and succeed.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant case law and its application.
  • The ability to run an effective diary system.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills.

The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
