Prosecutions Lawyer

Prosecutions Lawyer required to join a Local Authority based in the West Midlands for an initial period of 1-3 months months.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced to join a highly regarded Local Authority based in the West Midlands on a locum basis.

The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be responsible for conducting prosecutions for all departments, and this may include:

• Health and safety
• Benefit fraud
• Housing
• Environmental prosecutions.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Prosecutions Lawyer, with prior experience gained within the public sector highly preferable. However, lawyers with a private practice background or with CPS experience are also encouraged to apply.
 

The Local Authority is centrally located, easily accessible via both car or public transport and in close proximity to a wide variety of shops and restaurants.

The role is for an initial period of a month although could be for longer as it is to cover a sick leave and thus candidates must be immediately available.
