We have recently been instructed by our client, a prestigious global law firm, who are looking to welcome a junior Commercial Projects Solicitor into their newly renovated Nottingham offices. The UK-wide Commercial Projects team in Nottingham is highly regarded by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500. The team act for some of the largest clients in the world, in both the public and private sector, which are serviced by the wider commercial group which include corporate deal-makers, banking experts, contract drafters and IP specialists. This well established firms offer a wealth of resources in addition to continual training and development for its team in order to facilitate providing a seamless service to its clients.

Daily work of the Commercial Projects Solicitor will include:

- Working with senior members of the team on complex and innovative transactions including transaction work and major projects
- Involvement in a diverse mix of commercial contract work including IT and outsourcing projects, public/private partnerships, infrastructure and rail projects and general commercial work
- Liaising with both local and international clients to progress major deals
- Involvement in business development, CSR events and social activities is encouraged

About the person

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior Commercial Solicitor to join a fast-paced and very highly-regarded team in Nottingham. You will be given plenty of responsibility from the outset but equally supervision is actively encouraged to guarantee your development and progression within the team.

You will be a UK qualified solicitor with between 6 months and 3 years experience in Commercial matters but this does not preclude someone with more qualified experience from applying for the role. Exposure to major projects is desirable although is not a prerequisite. Awareness of and a passion for commercial law are necessities, along with excellent self-management skills and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with both colleagues and clients. The successful candidate will have a real hunger to succeed in the commercial arena and will relish the opportunity to work with major household named clients.
