A multinational company based in Nottingham is seeking a Compliance Officer / Assistant Counsel to join their growing team.
Duties and responsibilties
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (FCA, AML, ATF, KYC etc.)
- Advise management on all legal issues, including customer and supplier contractual matters
- Propose and implement risk and compliance agenda, policies and framework
- Draft, review and maintain all relevant internal policies
- Develop and deliver appropriate training on regulatory policies and procedures
- Prepare reports to MD on compliance issues and violations
- Conduct periodic internal audit of processing center team functions and practices
- Assist with drafting and/or legal review of customer and supplier contracts, agreements and other legal documentation
- Advise and guide customers/prospects on all compliance requirement
- Other related duties where required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or related discipline - master's degree or postgraduate legal qualification advantageous
- Professional experience and knowledge of data protection and regulatory compliance gained within a law firm or in-house department
- Exposure to the technology sector would be desirable, but not essential
