Childcare Solicitor Locum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands. This contract is offered for an initial period of 3 months, however this is very likely to be extended.

Our client is a well respected Local Authority with a large established legal team.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who ideally comes from a Local Authority background. Experienced Lawyers with a Private Practice background with the relevant experience will also be considered.

You should be able to perform your own advocacy and manage a substantial caseload of around 15 cases.

Duties on a day to day basis will include:

• Managing a full caseload of care cases
• Dealing with all pre proceedings
• Performing own advocacy at County Court and Family Proceedings Court

The client is happy to consider day rates of between £35 -40ph depending upon experience.
