This popular and prestigious international firm is looking to expand their tax offering in anticipation of Brexit and has asked us to find a tax associate at 1 PQE + who would like to specialise in indirect tax. It is intended that the candidate works closely with the trade team in the event of a hard Brexit. The firm would prefer a candidate to have some customs duties experience but otherwise a tax lawyer with both direct and indirect tax experience, a good academic record and sound technical ability would be considered.

The team's VAT work in the UK involves finance, real estate, ESS, cross border goods and services, gambling tax and M&A work. Most of their VAT lawyers also have direct tax experience, so are able to give VAT advice in the context of the overall tax implications of any particular project.
