Experienced Employment Lawyer required for new role with a top tier international law firm, to be based at their Manchester office.
Our client is a market-leading international law firm, who have an award winning and well-regarded Employment practice. They advise an impressive array of bluechip PLCs, including many FTSE250 businesses, and institutional clients in relation to the full spectrum of Employment Law matters.
Due to expansion they are looking to appoint a qualified Solicitor to lead an established team of fee-earners who specialise in contentious Employment tribunal work. The work is backed by legal expenses insurance and provides a very steady stream of work.
As Manager of the team you will be expected to deal with the most complex of these claims, in addition to managing the caseload for the team and supervising the paralegals with their claims handling. You will be the primary client contact, taking responsibility for the MI and ensuring SLAs and KPIs as per the agreement with the insurer. As a large part of the work is process driven you will be expected to continually review the processes to ensure optimal efficiency.
As an expanding area of the business this is a great chance to take on a senior role within the structure and play a key part in the further growth of this team.
You will be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4PQE in Employment Law, gained with a firm recognised for it's work in this area. Contentious Employment Law experience, with a strong understanding of the tribunal process is essential. Ideally you will have advocacy experience up to at least preliminary hearing level. Experience of legal expenses insurance work, or similar funding arrangements, will be beneficial.
