Reporting to the Directors the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support the team on a range of legal and non-legal tasks. Working from offices in Cardiff Bay, the Legal Team support fee earners on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.
Amongst other things, responsibilities will include the following:
• Liaising with internal business colleagues on legal, compliance and regulatory issues
• Assisting the team with secretarial and administrative matters, including organizing meetings and diary management, booking conferences and managing expenses
• Creating matters and setting up files, as well as ensuring approval processes are followed
• Assisting with the review of various legal documents, drafting documents and correspondence as and when required by members of the Team
• Document management, including processing legal documents, maintaining legal records and archives, and managing the Team’s contract database
• Organizing travel for the Team, processing travel visas and other documentation where required, sourcing the best possible deals and ensuring efficient use of management time
• Invoice processing and query management, being the key point of contact for all legal Team invoices, checking third party invoices where required
The Person
• 2+ years’ experience within an a legal department or law firm
• Desired: Legal Secretary or Legal Administrative
• High standards of literacy & numeracy
• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritise your workload with minimal supervision
• Must have a friendly and approachable attitude, with a high level of professional discretion when dealing with sensitive issues
• English language proficiency and ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership and external parties (additional language skills preferred)
• Good level of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills
