Title: Paralegal
Location: Based in Ashurst’s London offices
Hours:Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 17:30
Overview: To provide transactional support to the Banking groups (Leveraged Finance and Real Estate Finance)
Main responsibilities:
- Transactional support as required e.g. assisting fee earners and trainees handling large volumes of documents in the run up to signing/ completion;
- Project Management Team support – assisting the Project Management team on large scale transactions (including planning, tracking, monitoring, reporting);
- Discrete research tasks;
- Proofreading;
- Document review;
- Data room management;
- Searches;
- Bibling assistance
Essential skills and experience:
- Familiar with loan documentation;
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and common sense;
- Ability to acquire new technical skills and work with new technologies;
- Accuracy;
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision, if required;
- Flexibility and adaptability;
- Problem solving;
- Conflict management;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines;
- Ability to work well under pressure;

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel;

Desirable skills and experience
- Familiar with ISDA documentation
- Law degree/LPC;
