Family Solicitor

One of clients, a well established firm and proud contributor to the local community, is looking for a Family Solicitor to join their Newcastle Upon Tyne based team.

The ideal candidate will possess around 5 years PQE and have experience of full range of Family Work including advocacy and Family DR; experience in Private Financial law in a Family Solicitor position previously, would be a huge advantage for this position. Ideally, the successful candidate will have involvement with local voluntary or business organisations or professional family law organisations

This position requires detailed knowledge of this area of law as well as; the ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines under pressure; personal work planning and organisational skills; the ability to think clearly & logically & communicate clearly orally and in writing; a good command of written & oral English; the ability to identify problems & their solutions & work on own initiative; the ability to manage own caseload; effective use of IT. It would be beneficial and appreciated if candidates took an active interest in what the firm does and how they do it.

The firm is looking for someone who has previous experience as a Family Solicitor as well as possessing empathy & understanding of the problems faced by their clients. A flexible approach to working conditions and working environment and honesty, tolerance, common sense, energy and sense of humour are all part of what they value in their team.
