Legal Counsel

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a well-established international bank headquartered in the UK and provides commercial, corporate, investment banking and asset management services. They are seeking a 1-4 PQE Derivatives and /or Prime Brokerage Lawyer to join their legal team to provide general advice to the business with a particular focus on transactional and regulatory support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The role will be reporting into the Head of Legal and your duties will include:

• Reviewing and negotiating ISDA Master Agreement and related documentation including GMRAs, ISDAs etc.
• Assisting with the review, drafting and amending of legal contracts in particular: custody and clearing agreements; admin and prime brokerage agreements.
• Support internal marketing team with affiliate agreements, agency and licencing agreements.
• Providing general legal (and regulatory) support to the business including MIFID II and EMIR.
• Assisting with the review, drafting and amending general commercial contracts and ad-hoc agreements etc

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• The ideal candidate will be 1-3 PQE* Derivatives and /or Prime Brokerage Lawyer who is familiar ISDA and GMRA documentation from private practice or equivocal financial services institution.
• Qualified lawyers within this bracket from the buy or sell-side will be considered
• In-house Secondment experience is desirable not essential

*Candidates outside of this bracket will be considered if they are able to demonstrate the prerequisite experience required.
