IT Manager

One of the world's most prestigious US Law Firms currently has a fantastic new opportunity for an IT Manager to join their dynamic team in London. Based in stunning offices in the heart of the City, the IT Manager will work closely with the IT Director and will manage a small IT team providing face to face 1st/2nd line support to London office users. This is a varied and hands on role which is ideal for an IT Supervisor or Team Leader looking to take a step up into a management role. The IT Manager will oversee technical, operational and IT policy implementation and support computer systems and equipment in the London office.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Supervising the team
• Ticket and request management
• Task management, ensuring tickets and requests are dealt with quickly
• Allocating tickets and following up to ensure high quality resolution
• Ensuring that all user support issues are documented in the help desk database
• Ensuring the team have the relevant troubleshooting skills
• Setting an excellent standard in customer service for the team
• Communicating with users proactively about local maintenance and technology issues
• Serving as end user advocate to ensure sure that other groups inside IT are responsive to ticket and other issues
• Manage and be included in the after-hours and weekend support rota

Personality fit is key within this role and the firm requires a highly personable and effective communicator who is able to build strong relationships at all levels of seniority. 1 - 2 years' relevant IT experience in a supervisory capacity within a professional services environment is required.
