Leading international law firm is looking to hire a new part-time Revenue Controller to work two days-a-week following an internal flexible working request.  The two days can be any days of the week so full flexibility is available plus they don’t need to be consecutive – the firm just requires that all five days are worked by the job-share employees.  In this position you will be responsible for the revenue cycle (WIP and AR) and the duties will include meeting partners on a monthly basis to discuss WIP and AR with a particular emphasis on aged WIP and debt, WIP management, to include obtaining instructions on time transfers & write-offs and liaising with the Billing team to process instructions, ensuring correct authorisation is obtained for write-off's for both AR and WIP, pro-actively manage AR for allocated Partners ensuring debtor days are kept to a minimum, the chasing of outstanding debts by various methods to include statements, letters, emails and telephone, building relationships with client contacts, liaising with overseas offices in relation to London office time on overseas matters, prepare monthly billing forecasts, produce monthly detailed analysis for the London Finance committee meeting, monthly and quarterly reporting as required, encourage a 'compliance' culture and ensure bills are correctly addressed and comply with VAT & SRA rules, obtain data needed to assist E-Billing team (e-billing references / budget information) to enable invoices to be E-billed, prompt resolution of queries, ensure notes are kept fully updated in the revenue management system, assist the Credit Control Manager with the monthly WIP reserves, the escalation of  billing / collection issues when appropriate and other ad hoc duties as required. This firm uses Aderant/CMS and IG4 so previous exposure to these packages would be highly beneficial although not essential.  Plus applicants require previous legal Revenue Controller experience, sound numeracy, literacy and accuracy skills, a high level of Microsoft office skills including Excel, be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding financial information and strong communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels with management and staff.
