A large, international, highly-regarded, professional services firm is looking to add an employment lawyer to their ever-expanding legal services arm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on gender pay gap and equal pay projects, project managing, coordinating clients and teams, and providing legal advice on relevant pay legislation
- Support colleagues in Corporate and Transaction Services on restructuring exercises, providing employment law advice on TUPE, share transactions, and collective redundancies
- Provide general employment law advice on senior level issues, such as contracts of employment and service agreements for senior executives, as well as executive terminations or restrictive covenant disputes.
- Perform employment law advice on employment status reviews, in conjunction with Tax colleagues and provide commercial advice.
- Provide employment law advice on day-to-day employment issues, such as disciplinary and grievances, changes to employment terms and conditions, benefits implementations and renewals.
- Support employers in contentious matters, providing strategic employment law advice in relation to Employment Tribunal claims and informal employment disputes.
- Supervise coordination of global employment law projects.
- Support start-ups for multinationals, dealing with the wealth of immigration and employment law matters that need to be addressed by foreign businesses setting up in the UK
Experience required:
- Gender pay gap reporting
- Equal pay
- Restructuring including TUPE business transfers, in-sourcing and outsourcing, information and consultation exercises, due diligence exercises, individual and collective redundancies
- General advisory work on senior level issues, such as executive terminations or restrictive covenant disputes, employment status reviews and support on benefits implementations and renewals
- Contentious employment law including the ability to strategise and independently prepare all aspects of defences to Employment Tribunal claims with advocacy experience at least in preliminary hearings
- Work on multi-national issues or immigration experience is also welcomed.
