A successful Local Authority based in South West London is seeking a highly skilled Data Protection and Information Officer to join their team immediately. The post involves an interesting range of work, focused primarily on FOI casework, but also involving other duties including the provision of DPA advice and training to all SSA staff and dealing with requests for information from members of the public.
It is desirable if you have detailed knowledge of the:
*Freedom of Information Act 2000
*Environmental Information Regulations 2004
*Data Protection Act 1998 and their application to local authorities.
You must also have excellent communication skills, be capable of working under pressure, demonstrate good self-organisation, political sensitivity and attention to detail, be able to work effectively in a team and have a commitment to flexibility.
It is desirable if you have experience of FOI casework will be required for these posts.
