In House Solicitor

A strategically important infrastructure business is looking to appoint an additional lawyer to their well regarded and established legal team.

The remit is incredibly varied and interesting, being involved in significant, high value and complex matters, from a legal and commercial perspective. These might include procurement, logistics/supply chain, IT, supply, distribution, construction or special projects.

For this reason you could have a background in projects / commercial / corporate / construction / restructuring or other contracts focused discipline, but what is critical is your aptitude and attitude to problem solving, and willingness to take on significant responsibility, including mentoring junior lawyers.

You'll probably need at least 4 years' pqe to have the experience required, but equally important is your communication skills and ability to get to grips with new areas of law. The legal team works in out of town offices about 35 minute drive from Leeds, and comprises high calibre lawyers with national and city law firm experience.

Most importantly, it's a chance to take a genuine step into a role with build in progression. In the short to medium term you'd step into a legal manager position, mentoring junior lawyers and taking on genuine responsibility in a complex and interesting organization. A great opportunity for a lawyer focused on building their career in house.
