Legal Counsel

Our client, a leading international bank specialising in foreign investment is seeking an additional lawyer to join the in-house legal team.

You will be working alongside the Head of Legal and will be focussing on general banking, corporate and trade finance (including loans, export credit financing and structured finance) matters.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing business focused proactive legal advice on commercially complex, challenging and varied legal issues (including loans and structured finance).
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation with involvement with transactions from outset to completion
• Advise and assist with the Bank’s affairs as a corporate entity and assist other departments (commodity trade finance, export credit financing and structured finance) as and when required

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3* years post qualified experience either in England & Wales or France
• Good knowledge of general banking, corporate and trade finance with specific experience in structured and project finance and commodity trade finance

• Fluent or working knowledge of French

*Candidates outside of this bracket will be considered if they are able to demonstrate the prerequisite experience required.
