Professional Negligence Solicitor

Cognitive Law has ambitious development plans and is looking for Solicitors with experience in handling professional negligence matters to help develop the practice, and potentially grow their own team. Successful candidates will be entrepreneurial Solicitors with an appetite to develop their own caseload through direct business development and existing clients.

We are looking for senior Solicitors with experience advising on all types of professional negligence matters on behalf of insurers, dealing with claims against Solicitors, accountants and financial advisors, defending liability claims and also dealing with policy coverage and all other matters associated with professional negligence.

We operate a remuneration model which is industry leading and designed to reward you incrementally on how much legal work you choose to undertake.  Free from billing targets and fixed hourly rate charges, our Solicitors set their own charging structures and manage their own WIP. Our business model affords our Solicitors the ability to manage their work/life commitments within a framework that provides full back-office support.

Your background

• have been at least 8-10 years PQE
• be commercially minded
• have a desire to be actively involved in business development initiatives
• be able to demonstrate a client following or the ability to develop one
• have a proven track record in the Professional Negligence practice area
• have a commitment to offering a high standard of client service
• have commercial litigation experience in a large regional or city based law firm
