Librarian / Information Officer / Research Analyst

Leading US law firm are looking for a Librarian / Research Analyst to join their London team and develop the Research Services Department with a focus on adding value, process improvement and efficiency. You will be responsible for all information in print, online and internet research. You will coordinate and share information with overseas offices but will be responsible for proactively developing all UK information.

The role will be varied but responsibilities will include: performing extensive legal, business and other research and enquiry work for attorneys and legal assistants in London and throughout the firm; assisting with maintenance of the intranet page, current awareness alerts, and delivering induction for new joiners, including fee-earners and administrative staff; and evaluating databases and other resources, making recommendations and assisting with trials and roll-outs.

It is essential that you have at least two years’ experience in a similar role within another law firm (librarianship / information management/ research) and have good research knowledge and skills, including familiarity with legal databases, the research life cycle and the delivery of research support. You must also be flexible, enthusiastic and have strong communication skills.
