Head of Legal

We are seeking a forward thinking, operational, strategic and dynamic Solicitor as Head of Legal/COLP for it's financial services organisation. This role is integral to the business, it's strategy and diversification as it evolves.

The ideal candidate will have a background in financial services, litigation or a claims environment. Currently a 200 head strong operation, the overall responsibility will focus on the claims and litigation arm of the organisation and be an integral part of the Executive/Management team.

Key skills/attributes:

• Solicitor- at least 3 years PQE and capability of being the COLP
• A thorough understanding of the requirements of a COLP, supported by a strong compliance team
• Financial services and/or litigation background essential
• Excellent working knowledge of the CPR Strategic and ability to grow and diversify on opportunities
• Ambitious in terms of growth and the practical implications of growing a business
• Strong leadership skills; a great communicator and relationship builder
• Ability to set, forecast and deliver financial budgets
• Operational skills to include maintaining and delivering against SLA's/KPI's Ability to challenge the status quo and seek best practice at all times
• Integrity and ability to stand and review matters independently
