IT / Commercial Solicitor

Our client is a well known technology company with a strong brand and a very accessible and usable service offering.

With the upcoming departure of the existing Legal Manager, our client seeks to recruit an IT / Commercial Solicitor to work as the companies dedicated in-house legal resource. Based in Manchester, the Legal Counsel / Legal Manager, will have a high degree of involvement in business affairs, strategy and direction, and the legal aspects of commercial projects, contracts and agreements. This can include: commercial, IP, IT, data protection, marketing and advertising, dispute resolution and other as hoc legal and regulatory support and advice.

This role requires an IT / Commercial Solicitor with existing in-house experience and ideally at least 2 years' PQE. You will likely have pre-qualification experience as a paralegal and you should have trained with a notable commercial law firm or in-house legal department. Existing technology experience is not essential although it would be advantageous.

It goes without saying that a collaborative, proactive, pragmatic, commercial and down to earth approach is key. This is a fast-moving and evolving company in which legal is involved in decisions at an early stage.
