My client is a leading multi-service law firm with a well respected Private Client and Court of Protection team. Due to continued growth and success within the department they are seeking to recruit an Associate Solicitor to administer a caseload of Court of Protection and Attorneyship matters and make a positive contribution to the team.

Role:
You will work within a team of approximately 10 which includes panel Deputies, Partners and Solicitors and several caseworkers. Your responsibilities will include personally managing your own caseload of Court of Protection matters concerning professional deputyships and trusts matters while supporting more junior members of the team and providing day-to-day supervision and guidance. You will work closely with clients who may come to the firm through a number of different channels including clients who have been awarded large compensation settlements following serious injury or accident, elderly clients or young or adult clients who have issues managing their personal finances due to mental capacity. This role is seen as one which will enable you to grow within the department and become a senior member of the team in the mid-term.

As goes with the territory you will need a varied skill set to be successful in this role, above and beyond a strong technical background in Court of Protection work, including an empathetic manner and excellent communication skills.
