Locum Childcare Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Childcare Solicitor in the East Midlands. This position is for a Locum Childcare Solicitor and is offered on an on-going basis for a minimum term of 3 months.

Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives and due to the nature of the role; experience within the public sector is preferred.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Dealing with a wide range of Childcare Law matters and advising the client department as required
• Taking responsibility for a personal caseload that will include pre–proceedings
• Conduct advocacy on contested and non-contested matters at Case Management Hearings, Issue Resolution Hearings and Final Hearings in Family Courts.
• Drafting legal documents such as threshold criteria, care applications and statements in the course of proceedings

A daily rate of £240 - £259/day can be expected for this role however this will be dependant upon experience.
