My client is currently looking to recruit an immediate temporary Legal Secretary to join their Patent & Trademark Manchester City Centre law firm on an on-going contract.  Previous Legal Secretarial experience is essential and experience within Intellectual Property / Patent & Trademark would be advantageous.

 

This will involve learning the key skills and systems required to provide full secretarial and administrative support at fee-earner level within our business.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to liaise with those at Partner level
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines, ensuring constant attention to detail, providing clear and reasoned details
 

Experience:
  • Experience in a Legal Secretary role, with the ability to demonstrate a high level
  • of secretarial and administrative support
  • Fee-earner workload management, preparation of standard forms, correspondence and direct billing experience
 

Educational Background:
  • A-C GCSEs or CSE equivalents, A levels
  • ILEX/Secretarial qualifications to include audio and typing speeds of approximately 70wpm; shorthand an advantage.
