A boutique and privately owned oil company that has made a series of strategic acquisitions in the last 18 months now requires an additional mid-level lawyer in London. Reporting to the General Counsel and working in a team of 3 lawyers, you will undertake a hands-on and broad ranging role that will require regular contact with the board. With operations in Africa, Canada and other acquisitions planned as the oil majors divest of smaller fields, this is a very exciting time to join this rapidly expanding company that benefits from being held by a family. You will draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including: farm-in, farm-out agreements, joint-ventures, drilling contracts and exploration agreements amongst others. Fluency in French is high desirable as the London Office is bilingual. As well as energy lawyers, corporate, projects, project finance and capital markets lawyers with fluent French and an interest in the sector are encouraged to apply. Experiences in other areas of law have the strong potential to be fully utilised as this company expands.
