This firm is a global law firm with a well-established Africa practice that covers both North and sub-Saharan Africa. Due to growth, they are looking for a Corporate or Projects lawyer to focus on the English-speaking countries on the African continent. There is a real opportunity here for a skilled and dynamic Corporate or Projects lawyer with Africa expertise.
The firm acts for an impressive client base such as sovereign states, private and public companies, banks, sponsors and lenders across a range of sectors e.g. financial services, infrastructure, mining, projects, energy and power. The Africa team handles all types of transactions including private equity, capital markets, M&A, projects and project financing.
This role would suit either a junior partner or a talented senior associate or counsel with partnership aspirations. This individual will have a book of business, or in the early stage of developing one, and will also have the drive and the ambition to develop a clear and sustainable route to market over time.
Candidates should ideally be common law qualified and have eight to ten years of post-qualification experience in a leading corporate or projects practice. You should have strong academics and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should be enthusiastic about business development.
This role is based in Paris. French language skills are a definitive advantage.
