Increased demand for their services has created an opportunity for a senior corporate M&A lawyer to join the Johannesburg team. This is a unique opportunity with a leading international firm that presents exciting potential for career advancement and development opportunities, including exposure to international clients and some of the most significant cross-border transactions in the South African market and beyond.

The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;
Responsibilities

• Work across a range of cross-border M&A transactions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior and senior associates within the team
• Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

• Good M&A experience gained within a top tier, large international or high end boutique corporate practice.
• High quality private treaty M&A and joint venture experience
• Demonstrated experience dealing with complex transactions
• Exceptional client liaison skills

Because of the cross boarder nature of the work in this team, my client is particularly interested in UK qualified and admitted lawyers, or SA lawyers with duel UK admittance.
