Sports Direct PLC are one of the largest retailers in the UK. The Group provides an unrivalled range of products, offering exceptional quality and unbeatable value, from a wide variety of third-party and Group-owned brands, both in-store and online. The company has a UK store portfolio that consists of approximately 470 stores, operating in 20 countries in Europe, including Belgium, Austria, Slovenia and France. The Group also has an extensive brand portfolio business, International Brand Management Limited ("IMBL"), comprising of internationally recognised sport, fashion and lifestyle brands.

Owing to the continued growth and development of the company, they are looking for a commercial lawyer to join their in-house legal team, based in Nottinghamshire, to help manage the increased volume of work from the Group. Reporting to the Head of Legal and working closely with other members of the legal team, you will undertake an exciting breadth of work on a truly international basis, including:

- Drafting and advising on a wide variety of commercial contracts, inclusive of manufacturing, distribution and supply agreements, IT contracts and terms and conditions.
- Advising on and enforcement of IP rights, sponsorship agreements and IP related contractual terms.
- managing various disputes and litigious matters.
- providing ad-hoc advice covering a wide variety of areas, including competition law, trade practices and other regulatory issues.

This is a high profile position within the Group, and as such you will be a qualified solicitor with at least 2 year's post qualification experience from a leading private practice firm or in-house legal department. Any experience of working in-house and undertaking a broader commercial workload would also be a bonus. While this role will be based in the Group's Shirebrook headquarters, it will also involve regular travel to other parts of the business in London.
