EXCLUSIVE - Private Client Solicitor, Succession opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established firm in South Manchester.

The firm has been helping their clients with estate planning, trusts and probate for many years, and are well regarded for their work in this area.

There is now a need to address the long term succession of a key partner of the practice and they are looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor who can work alongside this partner during a transition phase, ultimately taking complete control of the department.

They are ideally looking for someone with at least 6-7PQE in Private Client Law, and who is preferably fully (or part) STEP qualified. A following of business isn't essential as there is plenty of existing work, however they would expect someone operating in the local market to have a strong network of contacts and introducers of work. There is great scope to develop what is there presently with an extensive bank of wills in addition to significant untapped opportunities in the local market. As such this will probably best suit someone who currently lives (and works) in South Manchester, although I would welcome the chance to speak to Solicitors coming from further afield who would want to move to the area.

This is a great chance to join a long established and well regarded firm who enjoy significant goodwill in the local legal market, with excellent future opportunities for the successful applicant to lead and develop the department in future. Salary and package dependent on previous experience upwards of £40k.
