Client Details

A high street law firm in a Birmingham suburb.

Description

Real Estate Solicitors: fed up of working consistently long hours / lack of flexibility in your current role / looking for something that is more 9-5?

We are working with a high street Birmingham law firm who are looking to recruit a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its busy department and help take it forward and work with the existing client base.

This is a long established Birmingham private practice with a genuinely fantastic culture. The majority of the firm work 9-5 although they work very hard - the client base is loyal and repeat instructions are very common.

The Commercial Property team is small, so you will have lots of autonomy. This role will suit a lawyer who knows what they are doing and can work without supervision. There is a great management team at the firm (2 Partners) although they do not micro-manage and you will be left to your own devices (but given plenty of support when needed).

This opportunity can offer you:

  • Full-time or Part-time hours - it's up to you
  • A great culture and working environment - no staying in the office until late
  • An existing client base who instruct the firm on a range of lease work and acquisitions and disposals
  • Full support to develop the department and come with your own ideas - BD initiatives will be backed
  • A clear bonus scheme linked to billings and salary
  • Free car parking nearby

Where lots of opportunities (particularly in Real Estate) promise part-time flexible working conditions, they rarely deliver. This firm can promise you a role where you will genuinely reclaim the work/life balance but also work as part of a firm where you will be an important player. This is a 2 Partner firm so there are opportunities to progress through to Partnership if this is a route you want to progress.

Would this solve your frustrations? Then get in touch for confidential discussion.

Profile

You will be an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor, with the ability to work on your own without supervision. Therefore it is likely that you have a number of years PQE under your belt.

You may currently work at a high street firm and looking to move to a role that will let you progress to Partnership or you may be a frustrated lawyer working long hours at a larger firm and looking for something different.

Somebody with the ambition to drive a department forward and grow the caseload will be highly sought after. If you have a few clients that would come with you, then this would be a great sign of demonstrating your potential. However, a following isn't essential.

Job Offer

Competitive depending on experience. Part-time hours if required or full-time if that is the preference. Bonus scheme available linked to billings/salary.
