Private Client Legal Secretary / PA

Our client in Leicester is looking for a Legal Secretary or PA experienced working with Private Clients. To provide private client secretarial and administrative support to the Legal Services Team.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate production of correspondence and documentation including through the use of digital dictation.
  • Experience of use of a case management system would be advantageous.
  • Attending to clients in person and on the phone. Taking messages and assisting where appropriate.
  • Organising and maintaining departmental systems and document storage.
  • Managing file opening, closing and archiving.
  • Photocopying, scanning, printing and other administrative tasks.
  • To schedule and maintain the Solicitors’ calendars.
  • To liaise with the Chesterton House group companies as required.
  • To attend company events as requested.
  • Attend regular 1:1, personal development review meetings and appraisals.
  • Set goals to develop potential and proactively maintain performance in line with Company guidelines using the Personal Development Journey and supporting documentation.

Experience

  • Confidence with IT systems. To include working knowledge of using MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A minimum 2+ years’ Legal secretarial experience within trusts and estates. (Some experience of residential conveyancing also welcome).
  • Exceptional English grammar/spelling, familiarity with legal terminology and good numerical skills.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment.
