OPPORTUNITY

Due to their track record of success and continuous expansion, we are currently looking to recruit a property solicitor to be based in their relocated Sheffield office.

Are you a commercial property lawyer who can develop a residential  property team, or a residential lawyer who can pick up commercial property work?  The role will include:

• Building upon the existing client-base and developing new clients and professional contacts in the South Yorkshire region covering residential and commercial property.
• Dealing with a general commercial property caseload to include sales and acquisitions,  plot sales, landlord and tenant and secured lending matters, together with residential matters.
• Drafting complex legal instruments including commercial leases, contracts and related documents
• Acting for SMEs, Corporate and public bodies;  handling sale and acquisition work including portfolio management and complex leases

Our client has deliberately not set a specific PQE for this position as their main focus is to find the right person;  Somebody who can develop the existing client-base and who has a desire and drive to further expand the department in Sheffield – this is a very real opportunity to impress and progress,

As a consequence, the salary is by negotiation and depending on experience, considering the market-rate.

CANDIDATE

You will be able to manage a general property caseload from initial instructions through to post-completions, unaided.  Your experience and knowledge will include sales and purchases, plot sales and acquisitions, landlord and tenant as well as secured lending matters.

The ability to maintain and develop relationships with local Estate Agents, Surveyors, Bankers, Financial Advisors and other introducers is a must.  You will therefore be a natural communicator and somebody who can build rapport with ease.  You will be acting on behalf of a wide range of clients including Banks and portfolio managers.

As well as the above, you will be required to assist with and contribute to the firm’s general marketing plan across the region.  With that in mind, you will work alongside your colleagues (of all levels) to ensure that you and your fellow team-members achieve any set objectives.

You will be NQ – 7 years PQE level with strong experience of both commercial and residential property, with a stronger focus on commercial work for more experienced candidates.
