Junior Commercial Property Locum

Venn Group's specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Junior Commercial Property Locum to join an in-house organisation to be based in the Northern Home Counties, easily commutable from London. The initial period for this contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of further extension. This role is also offered on a full-time basis, with the client looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive who holds a current practising certificate and has experience working for an in-house organisation dealing with property matters.

Duties will include:

• Managing the acquisition of new sites and advising on their development across the UK
• Dealing with complex on-site property negotiations when necessary
• Developing strategies to reduce total property costs liability including reducing insurance rent and service charge costs
• Interpreting high risk matters including break clauses, exit strategies and lease terms
• Managing the company's property portfolio including granting leases, issuing licences and negotiating with tenants
• Managing neighbouring developments to minimise impact to premises
• Selecting external counsel when required

The rate of pay for this role will be negotiable and dependant on experience but will be in the region of £25 - £35/hour.
