Senior Property Litigation Solicitor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Property Litigation Solicitor to join an in-house organisation based in the Northern Home Counties, easily commutable from London. The initial period for this contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of further extension. This role is also offered on a full-time basis, with the client looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who holds a current practising certificate. Due to the nature of the role, experience dealing with litigious property matters is essential.

Duties will include:

• Management of over 950 sites across the UK and handling the acquisition of new sites whilst advising on their on-going development
• Managing neighbouring developments to minimise impact to premises
• Writing Standard Operating Procedures for the property department
• Developing strategies to reduce total property costs liability
• Interpreting high risk matters including break clauses, lease terms and exit strategies
• Providing advice to the Board on all Landlord and Tenant Matters including granting leases and issuing of licences
• Advising the Board on strategies to litigate and settle in regards to commercial contractual disputes
• Advising on debt recovery matters and managing statutory demands
• Resolving disputes and negotiating agreements
• Making applications to court for injunctions and issuing proceedings against property developers
• Managing and successfully resolving contentious relationships with third parties

The rate of pay for this role will be between £35-£55 per hour dependent on experience, however this is negotiable.
