An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the West Midlands for an on-going contract that is expected to be a minimum term of 3 months.

Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers, Legal Executives and non-qualified Lawyers who have the relevant experience working within a Local Government organisation.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Housing litigation work to include homelessness, possession claims, disrepair (claiming and defending) and all issues surrounding tenancy agreements
  • Organising of Survey Reports, disclosure of house files
  • Negotiation settlements of damages and costs where appropriate
  • Providing advice regarding ASBOs, Injunctions and Possession Orders
  • Attending Court and tribunals, undertaking advocacy where required


This role offers a rate of up to £30 per hour, dependant on experience.
