Are you a newly-qualified solicitor or trainee solicitor coming up to qualification?

Have you undertaken a strong seat in Planning Law either within a private practice or local authority?

Our client is looking to bring a Planning NQ on board. The successful Planning NQ would be working on a varied workload including large scale renewable energy projects and urban regeneration projects. You would be part of a well-respected national team (as well as working alongside the Real Estate practice group), acting for a range of household clients within the private sector.

There will be plenty of training and development on offer for the successful NQ and your caseload will range from advising on all planning issues from the negotiation of development agreements, attending planning inquiries and assisting on corporate projects and copmplusory purchase matters. The team is also heavily involved in appeals in relation to planning permission and acting at planning inquiries.

Profile

The ideal Planning NQ will have undertaken a strong seat in Planning Law either within a private practice or local authority. You will have a solid understanding around the basics of planning law and will ideally have had exposure to a mixture of work in this area. Our client will consider candidates who have perhaps not undertaken the strongest seat in Planning Law but have a genuine interest and passion for this area, which can be demonstrated in an interview.

Our client will look at candidates with differing levels of PQE and candidates who have an interest in relocating to the Birmingham area.
