Exciting opportunity for a senior In House Counsel has arisen within an Alternative Investment house. Due to the growth and profitability of the business they are looking to increase headcount. You will report directly into the General Counsel however whilst undertaking the role you will enjoy a good level of autonomy. This role is ideal for a Corporate Transactional, Commercial or Funds Lawyer who is seeking a varied in-house legal role

The role:

The primary responsibilities will include;

• General corporate commercial contract work
• Assist with the preparation of board materials and approval processes for entities established in Europe
• Drafting and reviewing fund documentation (including fund structuring on occasion)
• Review internal marketing and implementation of legal and tax advice
• Assisting with the management of internal and external compliance

The candidate:

The successful candidate will have

• 3-6*  years PQE+ worked in either Private Practice or  In-house within a financial services institution
• The ideal candidate will either have a Corporate Transactional, Commercial or Funds background providing you are open to developing a skill set in the area(s) you do not currently have.
  • if you are a Corporate Transactional lawyer you must have commercial contracts experience
  • As a Funds Lawyer you must have AIF experience, in particular credit.
  • As a Commercial Lawyer you must have experience working with, or for Investment Management or FS businesses
