Global Brand - In-house Legal Counsel -Litigation & Claims - Peterborough

This household name has an exciting opportunity for someone to join their in-house legal team to handle their litigation matters. This will include work relating to product liability, employee negligence, industrial disease, employers and other public liability claims.

Based in Peterborough you will be responsible for managing all product liability claims (value over £2000), maintaining accurate documentation of claims using the case management system, preparing defences and court documents and assisting with wider legal issues including procedures relating to data protection. This is a high profile role where you will be providing progress reviews to the senior management team and wider business, communicating relevant information to assess liability and mitigate risk.

You will be a qualified lawyer with experience working in contentious issues and litigation. Prior in-house experience is a bonus not essential. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team, able to manage your caseload effectively and efficiently whilst ensuring your customers' issues are speedily resolved.
