Data Protection & Privacy Lawyer

You will provide legal advice to all of its companies and affiliates both in the UK and throughout the EU,on a full range of data protection issues, as well as privacy, information and security issues . Working as a "Subject matter expert" resource to colleagues across the EMEA business , you will also have responsibility for managing a lawyer , as well as be given the responsibility to develop and build a team . The role will require senior stakeholder management skills , and it essential that candidates have both the experience, gravitas and confidence to work with a wide range of senior management.

You must be a qualified Lawyer with at least 6PQE+ , and we are able to consider candidates who have qualified outside of the UK, as long as you have both UK and multi jurisdictional experience in data protection and security law. Applicants must have leadership experience, as the expectation is that you will develop and build out the EMEA function. Those individuals who have worked within the payments/ card , or wider financial services industry will be of particular interest , although our client would consider those individuals who have worked within other regulated industries.
