Contentious Shipping Associate (5+ PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior shipping lawyer at the 5+ PQE level to join a prestigious international law firm in London.

The firm boasts a stellar client base across the shipping area and is known for providing advice on high calibre commercial shipping matters. Lawyers undertake a breadth of work, working on both dry and wet shipping issues as well as commodities litigation. Core expertise exists in advising clients (Owners, P&I Clubs and Charterers) on disputes involving shipbuilding, collision, charterparty, bill of lading and marine insurance.

The successful applicant will be part of a friendly, relaxed practice that pull together to provide first class advice. Strong contentious commodities is essential as is the ability to engage in business development.

This position would suit candidates who are ready for a greater degree of independence than they experience in their current role.
