The Legal and HR/TA Assistant will work across both areas of the business to provide support for these two critical business partners.

Legal

* Take responsibility for paralegal style work including:
- support for the team in their day to day activities and advice including basic research, internet searches and contract/document checks;
- preparation of simple core agreements and documents with input from the legal team including Confidentiality agreements, Professional Services Agreements and short form contracts;
- preparation and formatting of complex documents and presentations;
- administration and "quality control" of the Contracts Database where required;
- minute taker in specific meetings where appropriate; and
- co-ordinate relationship with external counsel and barrister's chambers including address invoices and organisation of meetings.

Business HR

- Take responsibility for checking and sending out contracts to new employees.
- Take responsibility for the new starter process.
- Support Business HR and TA with management of RIMs (electronic filing system)
- Take responsibility for ensuring new employees have the appropriate Right to Work documentation and liaising with the Border Agency.
- Diary, Inbox and Interview management

Qualifications

- Law degree or Paralegal experience
- Ability to work well with multi-functional teams and across all levels within the organisation.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Paralegal qualification or basic legal training desirable although not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary.
