Located in the convenient north London location of Finchley, with excellent transport links, this firm, with a decided bias towards social responsibility, has been running very successfully for a decade or so. The firm specialises in all aspects of property law and has a busy housing team dealing with a wide range of matters. The firm is now embarking on an ambitious period of expansion and is looking for a solicitor with solid experience in housing, and associated Legal Aid funding, to join the team.
THE ROLE
You will be an experienced solicitor, used to dealing with vulnerable clients and with excellent communication and client care skills. You will be running a caseload of matters which might include, for instance, defending possession proceedings, claims in disrepair, refused right to buy and illegal evictions. THE CANDIDATE
You will:-
Be an experienced solicitor with a strong background in housing law;
Have a real commitment to representing vulnerable clients, and be willing to go “the extra mile” if needs be;
Possess a determined, proactive and problem-solving approach;
Have a background in publicly-funded matters;
Ideally, be fluent in a second language, although this is not a prerequisite.
